2. Media Manager's role in media sales

Important planners and buyers of media rely on Media Manager because of the quality, quantity and reliability of information and the tools to output and manipulate the data. This is one of the keys to the success of the service.

For media owners all entries in Media Manager – and the data are unbelievably detailed - are entirely free of charge, as are all and any updates. This is another of the keys to the success of the service.

But good media selection is more than just the manipulation of Media Manager information. Qualitative aspects come into play. And the selling and persuasive inputs of sales representatives should not be under estimated. But media selection is highly complex and competitive and free wheeling. All too often the months of sales representatives' visits and telephone calls, the emails and voucher copies, the freebies and effort can be undone at the point of decision. Because your points of view are out of sight and out of mind!

Therefore more progressive media owners can add additional qualitative selling information to the bare facts, so as to influence planners and buyers when they are looking for specific information and comparing opportunities.

In this respect Media Manager may be compared to instore Point-of-Purchase media… Media Manager may be the last point at which you can influence decisions about to be made.
